On April 7th 2016, five MakerSquare graduates (Elliot Chi, Sean Gibson, Malek Ascha, Brandon Goodfliesh, Mick Berber) from San Francisco won the hack-for-good competition.

DocuSign hosted the event, partnering with Team Rubicon to help the disaster response organization streamline its ability to respond more efficiently to humanitarian disasters.

The objective of the hack was to create an app using the DocuSign API for a variety of disaster response needs, including volunteer registration and onboarding, mobile embedded signing, Box integration, and more.

The MakerSquare team sat down with a member of Team Rubicon to establish areas of improvement and attempt to solve some of the problems they were facing. One thing that stood out significantly was the tedious process by which the team would copy and paste emails to send manually.

They decided to create a mass-emailer service, so they could easily send out 100s of emails contained in a .csv file:

They are now using the app to send their emails, congratulations to the MakerSquare team!
